"Local Martial Arts Studio shows why they are more than just an activity" or "ABC Karate goes above just kicking and punching." Wouldn't it be awesome to have any of these headlines in your newspaper describing your studio? You can and you should! A couple of months ago, United Professionals along with all of you banned together and helped the victims of hurricane Katrina. We all know that the heartache is not over for a lot of these people, but at the same time, we all have families in our own communities that also are having major challenges. Maybe the parents got laid off recently, maybe major health problems over took the families finances, maybe there is an elderly person who just feels left out or maybe there is a family that is just having hardships right now.

Starting this month, United Professionals and all their clients, are going to make a huge impact in their own communities. No, we are not talking about signing people up for our mass intros or increasing our net by $10,000, we are talking about helping the families that need some assistance this upcoming holiday season without benefiting directly. More specifically, we are talking about this Thanksgiving and delivering dinners to local families who may otherwise do without. We would also like to invite other school not matter what organization you belong to use this material in order to help those in need in your communities.

Just imagine, you and all of your students ban together for a great cause and help feed 75 families in your community. On a larger scale, if 1000 schools feed 75 families, we would have feed 75,000 families this Thanksgiving. What we are talking about is having a Thanksgiving Basket Brigade. I have been doing this for over 12 years and every year the parents and more importantly the students learn so much and are so grateful. We have students learn lessons of life that otherwise may never be learned. This upcoming week I will send out a couple of emails describing this event and how to do it. It does not take a lot of work or effort and I will have everything for you - all you will need to do is change the name to your studio.
